COOPERSTOWN

Dr. George Washington Dille Home

Dr. George Washington Dille lived in this beautiful home on North Main Street. Dr. Dille was the typical old “Country Doctor" of horse and buggy days. According to the “History of Cooperstown Area" booklet, his wife, Cora Maitland Dille was always doing things for the young people of the town. She organized nature study groups, taught Sunday School classes, was the town Librarian and gave much of her time to entertain people who were confined to the indoors.
