Dr. Robert E. and Mary VanNaten Home and Drug Store

Dr. Robert E. and Mary VanNaten lived in this beautiful home on North Main Street.
Dr. VanNaten was born in Cooperstown in 1840. He served in Co. C. 12th Pa. Vol. Calvary for one year and six months. After graduating from the Eclectic Medical College of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, he returned to Cooperstown and established a medical practice. Next to his home he built a structure to house his drug store.
