COOPERSTOWN Henry W. & Fannie Jackson Hoffman home

Located on Academy Street, this was the Henry W. & Fannie Jackson Hoffman home. Mr. Hoffman may have been the builder of the home as he was a carpenter by trade. Mr. Hoffman was born in Dauphin County, PA and enlisted as a Private in Co. H., 150th Reg. Vol. Infantry on Aug. 15, 1862. He served 3 years, 9 months and was one of the charter members of the Albert Jackson Post, No. 299 G.A.R.

Mrs. Jackson was born in Crawford County March 1851. The couple had two sons, Guy and Scott Hoffman. Henry died in 1902 from heart disease and Fannie died in 1926 at her home.
