EMLENTON

Emlenton Bridge

Rising 270 feet above the Allegheny River at Emlenton, the I – 80 bridge was completed in 1968. This picture was taken from River Avenue which was the section of Emlenton that was the earliest to be settled. By 1850 the River Avenue area was the hub of the commercial activity with 3 hotels, numerous shops and well-known as a river trade center.
