Barnes, Alfred D. - Derrick (Oil City, Pennsylvania) 24 May 1955 Alfred D Barnes 8 Smedley st age 65 died suddenly at 12:30 AM Sunday of a Heart attack. Local bank employee and official for 48 years, retiring in 1954. He was a native of England. Mr Barnes is survived by his wife, Three Children: John D[David] Barnes, Mary Jane and Alfred Lewis Barnes; two sisters Mrs Arthur W Qualman and Mrs Percy Venning. Body removed to the Steffe Funeral home where friends ay call and attend services at 11 A.M. Wednesday. Dr Thomas L. Small, rector of the Christ Episcopal church will officiate. Internment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery Alfred D Barnes (snip)attending the services from out of town were: Mr and Mrs A.W. Qualman, Mr and Mrs Percy Venning, Mr and Mrs William Linbird, Lewis Qualman, Mr and Mrs Alfred Pike, Mr and Mrs Henry Venning [all sisters and nieces and nephews] all of Cleveland Ohio and Robert Davis of Philadelphia.
