    *Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. BARROW, of Litchfield Park, Ariz., will arrive here Wednesday evening for a visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. BARROW and Mrs. J. A. HENDERSON.
    *Robert F. McGUIRE, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. McGUIRE, of 1430 Buffalo Street, has been pledged to the Gamma Sigma Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha, social fraternity at the University of Pittsburgh. Bob is a freshman in the School of Pharmacy.
    *Robert F. WEETER, son of Harvey F. WEETER, of Emlenton, R.D. 1, was among the 210 students at Grove City College, who were recently honored at the Honors Day program. The merit awards were presented by Dr. Weir C. KETLER, president of the college, to the highest 15 per cent of each class on the basis of scholastic records.
    * Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. CLOSE, 613 Egbert Street, entertained 17 boys and girls at a party in honor of their daughter, Willa Marie, on her fourth birthday anniversary Saturday. Mrs. Gertrude REAGLE baked the beautifully decorated cake. Games were played with prizes going to Deborah PIEL, Diane RITTS and Eddie SNYDER. There were two sets of twins among the guests, Denny and Danny EDINGER and David and Donna JOHNSTON.
    * Mr. and Mrs. Harry D. HAYLETT have taken over the tourist home, located at 1421 Liberty Street, and they are planning to operate the tourist establishment. Associated with Mr. and Mrs. HAYLETT in the business will be Mrs. Elizabeth HARTMAN, mother of Mrs. HAYLETT, who has had considerable experience in similar work.
    * Rev. and Mrs. J. K. McDIVITT have returned home after visiting their sons, A. E. McDIVITT, Madison, N. J., and C. B. McDIVITT, of Baltimore, Md. and their grandson, D. C. McDIVITT, of Scranton. Rev. Herbert CLAWSON, of Franklin, supplied Rev. McDIVITT'S pulpit during his absence. * Capt. and Mrs. Floyd JONES have recently sent word from Camp Atterbury, Ind., thanking all their friends, neighbors and relatives for remembering both their 10th wedding anniversary and Mrs. JONES' recent birthday anniversary.

    *Mr. and Mrs. Anthony NALEPA and family have returned to Louisville, Ky., following a visit here with the former's mother, Mary NALEPA. Mrs. Dale SNYDER and three sons of Fort Worth, Texas, arrived last weekend to spend several weeks with her mother, Mrs. NALEPA.
    *Staff Sgt. Edward ROBERTS will arrive in Franklin this weekend to spend a week with his mother, Mrs. Paul O'BRIEN, 815 15th Street. Sgt. ROBERTS recently reached the West Coast after 14 months in Korea.

    *Joseph WORDEN, mold designer of Shaw Industries, provided a striking design for the Sesqui token. It depicts both the old and the new in the progress of Venango County over its 150 years. A limited number of the tokens will be produced to go on sale June 27.

    *Pvt. James R. REYNOLDS is home from Fort Riley, Kan., to spend a furlough with his wife and daughter. He will report to Fort Dix, N.J., July 10 for duty in Germany.

    *Mr. and Mrs. William C. VOKOLEK and sons, Alan and Bill, of 946 Elk St., have returned from a trip to Chicago, where they visited friends and relatives.
    *The rare sight of cactus in bloom can be seen these days at the Richard J. HOPKINS residence, 237 Fox St., Rocky Grove.

    *Mr. and Mrs. Lyman H. GRAHAM have returned to their home in Bradley Beach, N.J., after a visit with Mr. Graham's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. GRAHAM, Bully Hill.

    *Seventy-nine year old W. H. MacFARLAND, Sr. of Philadelphia will add an authentic touch to the Sesqui-Centennial parade July 9. He is famous for his resemblance to Benjamin Franklin and has portrayed Franklin on numerous occasions.
    *Capt. Robert E. ROSS and family of Waco, Texas, are spending several weeks at the home of the Captain's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. ROSS, 1401 Chestnut St.
