Random Marriages

      • Clara Louise Moore and Charles Stuart - Married in Church. At 1:30 o'clock this afternoon in the First Methodist Episcopal Church in Franklin, Miss Clara Louise Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William F. Moore of 1102 Buffalo Street became the bride of Charles E. Stuart, son of Mrs. Hattie Stuart of 14 West Front Street, Oil City. Rev. Dr. Alfred Cookman Locke, pastor of the church, officiated at the marriage. For her matron of honor, the bride had her sister, Mrs. Clem Beers, of Franklin and Norman J. Payne, of Oil City acted as best man for Mr. Stuart. The bride was attired in a street length gown of stone blue crepe with which she wore a matching hat trimmed in navy blue with corresponding accessories. Her flowers were a shoulder bouquet of white gardenias and lilies of the valley. Mrs. Beers wore a black and white ensemble with black accessories and a shoulder bouquet of Tallesman roses. The bride was graduated from the Franklin High School, attended Flora Mather School, Western Reserve University and graduated from the Pennsylvania College for Women, Pittsburgh. She is the assistant librarian at the Franklin Public Library. Mr. Stuart is a graduate of the Oil City High School and attended Georgetown University. He is a member of the editorial staff of the Oil City Blizzard at the present time. Following a wedding trip through Canada and the East, Mr. and Mrs. Stuart will make their home in Oil City.
