9. Samuel F. & Eliza McClelland Dale Home

Built in 1875 this Second Empire structure was home to the Samuel F. Dale family. Mr. Dale came to Franklin in 1834 and was an important leader in the business community being associated with iron furnaces, the railroad, various millwork operations and a promoter of the Venango Water Company and the First National Bank of Franklin. James Brady, a local builder, constructed this home at a cost of $13,000.
